Alison R. Noble, Ph.D., is an experienced academic leader committed to student success and a thriving faculty.
The first step in effective leadership is careful and reflective listening and relationship building, according to Noble. “I seek always to promote commitment around shared purpose, celebrate successes, model respect and care to both individuals and the community, and advance the mission of the university by keeping its goals and values at the center of deliberation and decision-making. I am excited and honored to join President Stephens and the rest of the FPU community in the transformational work taking place in the Central Valley and beyond.â€
Alison Noble
Her foci are to implement the academic mission of the university in a way that is consistent with the vision set by the university president, communicate with clarity and purpose, center the university mission, and collaboratively and creatively address challenge and celebrate success. She holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completed the Institute for Leadership and Management in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
