Music Performance Groups
At Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø, our music program continues to foster collaboration and community through two vibrant performance groups: our Concert Choir and the San Joaquin Valley Community Band.
Whether you are a student, faculty, staff member or a community musician, you are welcome to join in.
Concert Choir
Our choir brings together students and community members to worship, praise and perform across campus and in the broader Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø region.
Under the direction of Carrie Vail, the choir explores a wide variety of repertoire—from sacred classics to modern anthems. Participation strengthens vocal technique, builds musical literacy and fosters a sense of belonging.
San Joaquin Valley Community Band
Led by Frank Velasco, this band provides a collaborative space for musicians to perform together, grow their skills and contribute to FPU’s musical culture.
Rehearsals are open to both music majors and non-majors, and performances take place throughout the academic year at campus events and community engagements.
